Sockets can be divided broadly into the following 6 categories.

Q13. If set breakpoint and execute RUN with a break condition, how it goes?

Break after executing by the line set as breakpoint. The counter goes to the next.

Q12. When set the clock to USER-side, it doesn’t operate normally. (H/W abnormal arises)

If you operate USER clock by using an oscillator, due to the static capacity of probe, etc. that can not work normally in most cases. (For In circuit emulator of NEC, this symptom arises about the same.) Mount a quartz oscillator with frequency you required, attaching with socket.

Q11. At the debugger startup, when Target is connected, debugger can not start. On the other hand, when Target is not connected, debugger starts normally.

There is a possibility that RESET on Target is not released. Please confirm that RESET on Target is released.
If use Low voltage power supply (5V or less), there is a possibility of Target voltage drop.
Please confirm that Target and TP1 terminal on ASMIS have equal voltage. And confirm that Target Board power supply voltage is within the prescribed ASMIS operational range.

Oscillation by a quartz oscillator on Target Board is not assured because of the static capacity of probe, etc. If you need to supply the clock from Target, input the square wave to ASMIS.

Q8. Can ASMIS afford to use other compilers, except for the compiler by NEC Electronics?

Can ASMIS afford to use other compilers, except for the compiler by NEC Electronics?
A8. For the compiler, ASMIS support only the compiler by NEC Electronics. Please use the compiler by NEC Electronics. For other compilers, their evaluations are not executed by ASMIS.

Q6. How to emulate if Target system power supply drops at the evaluation of buttery drive?

At present, such emulation is impossible by ASMIS.

A5.
There are many conceivable reasons. At first, please confirm that the connection between Target and Target probe is a good. Poor connection brings miss-operation frequently. Remove stain on the contacts and confirm that contact between Target and Target probe is a good.

Q3. What is counted by the Time measurement function?

For the internal ND-75XX, ND-78XX, time measurement is executed by section trace synchronization. Therefore this, a time from section trace start to stop is counted. For the single step execution, that command execution time is counted with unconditional.

| Q2. What kind of computer is suitable host machine for ASMIS? |
A2.
PC-98 series personal computer, manufactured by NEC, is assured to operate.
(For the personal computer manufactured by Epson, that operation is not evaluated and not assured.)
The personal computer IBM PC/AT conformed is assured to operate.

Q1. How fast is sampling speed of real time RAM monitor?

A1.
Basically, the sampling speed depends on the feature of host machine, serial communication speed with ASMIS and data volume to indicate. Consequently, the sampling speed can be increased with high speed process PC and use at a higher baud rate.

ASMIS real time RAM monitor can operate without temporary break of H/W and wait. User program can run in real time, any timer error can not occur.
